Montana Peregrine Falcon Populations

Jay Sumner and Ralph Rogers (Centmont Bioconsultants) have coordinated 9 years (1999-2007) of intensive surveys designed to determine the status and health of the Montana Peregrine Falcon populations. The 2007survey was coorindated and fiananced by MPI. All surveys were conducted by a mix of biologists fromprivate organizations and all agencies responsible for the managementof the peregrine. Past funding was provided by the Montana PeregrineInstitute, the Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks, the Bureau of IndianAffairs, the USDA Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, theUnited States Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Reclamation, the Montana Falconers Association, and the North American Falconers Association.
